Autobound's Privacy Policy

Autobound, Inc. (“Company,” “Autobound,” “we,” “us,” “our”) is a sales intelligence company that provides a platform for businesses to produce and send targeted sales emails to their prospective buyers and customers (the “Services”). This Privacy Policy applies to www.autobound.ai (the "Site") and our Services, which are owned and operated by Autobound. In order to provide our Services, we collect and use certain information about user activity and preferences. We take privacy very seriously, and as such, we know that our users, partners, and site visitors ("you," "your") care about your personal information and how it is used and shared. Taking the importance of your privacy into consideration, we have created and enacted this Privacy Policy to help you understand our privacy practices.

I. WHAT DOES THIS PRIVACY POLICY COVER?

The privacy practices and policies that we outline in this Privacy Policy will apply to the way that we use your information. Generally speaking, you will fall into one of three categories:

  • “Website Visitor”: accessing or browsing www.autobound.ai (the “Site”);
  • “Customer”: requesting the provision of Services from us; or
  • “Partner”: providing services to us, to allow us to provide Services to our Customers.

This Privacy Policy applies to the Site and our Services. This Privacy Policy supplements our Master Services Agreement and describes how Autobound collects, uses, shares and stores information that identifies you (“personal information”) as well as your choices regarding the use, access and correction of your personal information.

Please note that this policy does not apply to the practices of companies that we do not own or control, or to individuals that we do not employ or manage.

II. WHO WE ARE

Autobound is a company registered in Delaware, whose registered office is at 1225 Columbus Ave Unit 204, San Francisco, California.

III. THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOW WE USE AND STORE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

The type of personal information that we process falls into three categories:

  • Information we collect from Customers and Partners in connection with the provision of our Services;
  • Information that Site Visitors provide to us via the Site; and
  • Information that you provide to us directly.

A. Information We Collect from Customers and Partners

If you are one of our Customers or Partners (or a representative of one of our Customers or Partners), we collect the following information from you in connection with our legitimate business interests in order to increase the accuracy and sophistication of suggested outreach presented to our users as part of our Services:

  • Name
  • Email
  • Office Address
  • Phone Number
  • Industry
  • Competitors
  • Product URLs
  • History
  • Activity while using the Services
  • Opportunity information

Customers and Partners wishing to opt out of receiving information from Autobound can click “UNSUBSCRIBE” in marketing emails or email us at unsubscribe@autobound.ai.

We also collect certain types of information automatically through the use of Cookies as outlined below and other similar tracking technologies. These tracking technologies enable us to personalize the Services to Customers.

B. Information We Collect

When you register for an account, we collect certain personal information provided by you to contact or identify you (“Personal Information”). We use this Personal Information to provide and improve our Services, to administer your use of the Services, to recommend follow-up reminders, assign tasks, or personalize the service, and to provide or offer software updates and product announcements. We do not sell any of this Personal Information to third parties.

The information you provide to us or that we obtain is:

  • Name
  • Phone Number
  • Email Address
  • Home and/or business postal addresses
  • LinkedIn profile URL
  • Email provider access

If you provide us access to your email provider, we will never send any email messages, unless you have created within, or imported them into, Autobound’s system.  We will never use your email account to send out any messages that you have not authorized, nor will we alter or delete emails in your account.  If you use Autobound to send an email on your behalf, Autobound will access the least amount of email data necessary for our application to function successfully.  We will only store emails that you have sent through Autobound, as we need to be able to detect when a user has replied to them or clicked a link within them.

You may also ask us to import your contacts and email history by giving us access to your third party services (for example, your email account) or to use your social networking information if you give us access to your account on social network connection services. We then import, create, and update versions of your address book and emails for you to access in our platform. You will also have the option to import and update versions of your calendar, social media contacts, and mobile phone call history. When you invite others to join our platform by using the Services, we also send them an email for that invitation at the email addresses assigned to them in your address book.

You can log in to our site using sign-in services such as Google’s OAuth. These services will authenticate your identity and provide you the option to share certain personal information with us such as your name and email address to pre-populate our sign up form or create your account.

Autobound's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

C. Information You Provide to Us via Our Site

We collect and store any information that Site Visitors provide to us as required for us to provide you with access to the Site and the Services, pursuant to the Master Service Agreement. For example, we collect personal information such as your name, email address and browser information. You can choose not to provide us with certain information, but then you may not be able to register with us or take advantage of some of our features.

If you have provided us with a means of contacting you, we will use such means to communicate with you in relation to the purposes for which you provided your contact details and in relation to similar products or Services. If you do not want to receive communications from us, please indicate this by contacting us at unsubscribe@autobound.ai. Please note that if you do not want to receive legal notices from us, those legal notices will still govern your use of the Services, and you are responsible for reviewing such legal notices for changes.

D. Collection and Use of Third Party Personal Information

You may also provide personal information about other people, such as their email address. This information is only used for the sole purpose of completing your request or for whatever reason it may have been provided. If you believe that one of your contacts has provided us with your personal information and you would like to request that it be removed from our database, please contact us at support@autobound.ai.​

E. User Data Supplementation

We may receive additional demographic information about you from other sources, including publicly available databases or third parties from whom we have purchased data, and combine this data with information we already have about you. This helps us to update, expand and analyze our records, identify new customers, and provide products and services that may be of interest to you. If you provide us personal information about others, or if others give us your information, we will only use that information for the specific reason for which it was provided to us.

Autobound obtains this business contact and Company information from third party sources, such as business intelligence platforms. The information obtained by these third-party sources is from publicly available sources such as news articles and from third party companies. This information is used to support Autobound’s marketing and sales efforts. The Autobound sales team may contact you based on this information to gauge your company’s interest in Autobound’s services and technology solutions. You may opt-out of these communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link provided in the email or by sending a request to the following: unsubscribe@autobound.ai.

F. Log Data

When you use the Services, we automatically collect certain information from your device, its software, and your activity using the Services. This may include, for example (but without limitation), the Device's Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, the web page visited before or after you came to our website, information you search for on our website, locale preferences, identification numbers associated with your Devices, your mobile carrier, date and time stamps associated with transactions, system configuration information, metadata, and interactions with the Service, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, the files viewed on our site (e.g., HTML pages, graphics, etc.), operating system, date/time stamp, and/or clickstream data to analyze trends in the aggregate and administer the site.

G. Social Media Information

Our Site includes social media features, such as the Facebook Like button and widgets, such as the "Share This" button for Twitter and LinkedIn. These features may collect your IP address and the page you are visiting on our Site, and they may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Social media features and widgets are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our Site. Your interactions with these features are governed by the Privacy Policy of the company providing it.

IV. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

Autobound and our Partners use cookies or similar technologies to analyze trends, administer the Site, track users’ movements around our Site, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.​

You can control the use of cookies at the individual browser level, but if you choose to disable cookies, it may limit your use of certain features or functions on our Site or Services.

We partner with a third party to either display advertising on our Site or to manage our advertising on other sites. Our third party partner may use technologies such as cookies to gather information about your activities on this Site and other sites in order to provide you advertising based upon your browsing activities and interests. If you wish to not have this information used for the purpose of serving you interest-based ads, you may opt-out by emailing unsubscribe@autobound.ai. Please note this does not opt you out of being served ads. You will continue to receive generic ads.

Information Related to Data Collected through the Service

If you are using our platform, the use of information collected through our Services shall be limited to the purpose of providing the Services for which you have engaged Autobound. The information may be collected or otherwise obtained to contact or identify you or: (i) to provide and improve our Services, (ii) to administer your use of the Services, (iii) to recommend follow-up reminders, assign tasks, or personalize the services, and (iv) to provide or offer software updates and product announcements. If you no longer wish to receive communications from us that are not required for the Services, please follow the “UNSUBSCRIBE” instructions provided in any of those communications or update your account settings information.

Autobound collects information under the direction of its Customers and has no direct relationship with the individuals whose personal information it processes. We acknowledge that you have the right to access your personal information. Should you seek access, or seek to correct, amend, or delete inaccurate data, you should direct a query to the Autobound at support@autobound.ai. If requested to remove data we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

We will retain personal information we process on behalf of our Customers for as long as needed to provide Services to our Customer. Autobound will retain this personal information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

V. HOW WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION AND WHO WE SHARE IT WITH

Sharing of Information We Collect

We neither rent nor sell your Personal Information in personally identifiable form to anyone. However, we do share your Personal Information with third parties as described in Section III and in this Section. If you have consented to us sharing your Personal Information but later change your mind, you may contact us and we will cease any such activity.

Affiliated Businesses and Third Party Websites We Do Not Control

You will be able to recognize when an affiliated business is associated with such a transaction or service, and we will share your Personal Information with that affiliated business only to the extent that it is necessary and related to such transaction or service. We have no control over the policies and practices of third party websites or businesses as to privacy or anything else, so if you choose to take part in any transaction or service relating to an affiliated website or business, please review all such business’ or websites’ policies. Service Providers

We employ third party companies and people, for example cloud service providers (“Third Party Service Providers”), such as Amazon Web Services. MongoDB, OpenAI, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google to perform tasks e.g., provide computer and network infrastructure services on our behalf or as advertising exchange partners and we may need to share your information with them to provide products or Services to you. We only share your Personal Information with Third Party Service Providers to the extent necessary for them to assist us and they do not have any right to use your personal information we share with them beyond what is necessary.

Autobound & Generative AI Data Usage

We utilize AI models such as OpenAI's GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 to assist in our core functionalities. However, we've ensured the following:

  1. No Data Sharing: Autobound does not share any personally identifiable information (PII) of our users with OpenAI or any other generative AI vendors.
  2. Explicit Opt-out: We have explicitly opted both Autobound and our users out of any data usage by OpenAI to train their models. Your data will never be used to improve OpenAI's algorithms.
  3. User Consent: Before any interaction with these models, we ensure that we have your explicit consent. This is demonstrated through clear opt-in procedures within our platform's user-interface.

We are committed to maintaining a transparent relationship with our users, safeguarding their data, and ensuring their peace of mind while using Autobound.

Group companies

We may provide your Personal Information to our subsidiaries or affiliated companies for the purpose of processing Personal Information on our behalf to provide the Site and the Services to you. These parties are required to process such information based on our instructions and in accordance with this Privacy Policy. They do not have any independent right to share this information.

Compliance with laws and legal proceedings

We may also disclose your personal information as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or other legal process and when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

Merger or Acquisition

If Autobound or any of its subsidiaries are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Site of any change in ownership, uses of your Personal Information, and choices you may have regarding your Personal Information. We may also disclose your Personal Information to any other third party with your prior consent.

VI. SECURITY

The security of your Personal Information is important to us.  While we take appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard the personal information that you provide to us, no transmission over the Internet can ever be guaranteed secure. Consequently, please note that we cannot guarantee the security of any personal information that you transfer over the Internet to us

VII. DATA RETENTION

Autobound will retain personal data we process on behalf of our Customers and our Customers’ client data for as long as needed to provide Services to our Customer. Our intention is to retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Services. If you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your information to provide you Services, you may delete your account. We may retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements and rights, or if it is not technically reasonably feasible to remove it. Consistent with these requirements, we will try to delete your information quickly upon request.

Please note, that Autobound may retain your personal data for longer where there is a legal obligation, contractual, or legitimate interest, unless these interests are overridden by the individual’s fundamental rights; in those cases data will be removed once it is no longer needed for those purposes. In addition, we do not provide access, transfer, change, or delete information from our servers’ files where that right adversely affects the rights of others.

VII. YOUR RIGHTS

Opting-out

As described in this Privacy Policy, third parties may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect information and infer your interests for interest-based advertising purposes. If you would prefer to opt out, you may generally express your opt-out preference to no longer receive tailored advertisements by emailing unsubscribe@autobound.ai.

If you no longer wish to receive communications from us that are not required for the Services, please follow the “UNSUBSCRIBE” instructions provided in any of those communications or update your account settings information.

Data Subject Rights

You also have the following rights:

  • the right to ask us to provide you with copies of the personal information that we hold about you at any time. We may charge a reasonable fee for any manifestly unfounded, excessive or repetitive requests;
  • the right to ask us to update or correct any out-of-date or incorrect personal information that we hold about you (in accordance with applicable data protection laws);
  • the right to ask us not to process your personal information for the legitimate interests that we have set out above. In certain circumstances we may not be able to stop using your personal information but, if that is the case, we will let you know and tell you why; and
  • the right to opt out of any marketing communications that we (or any third party to whom we have disclosed your personal information with your consent) may send you.

IX. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 16 or knowingly allow such persons to register for the Services (as that term is defined in our Terms of Use). If you are under 16, please do not attempt to use the Site or register for the Services or send any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, or email address. No one under age 16 may provide any personal information to us or use the Site or the Services. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 16, we will delete that information as quickly as possible unless your parent or guardian has provided us with their consent for your use of our Site or Services. If you believe that we might have any information from or about a child under 16, please contact us at support@autobound.ai.

X. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our information practices. If we make any material changes, we will notify you by email (sent to the e-mail address specified in your account) or by means of a notice on this Site prior to the change becoming effective. We encourage you to periodically review this page for the latest information on our privacy practices.
